Dot Balls

Dream11 has introduced the concept of Dot Balls in fantasy cricket. This means that for every dot ball bowled by the bowler, he will get an additional point for that dot ball.

For every Dot Ball, Dream11 will award you one fantasy point.

For Example, if a player bowls 4 overs in a match and takes one wicket only but delivers 10 dot balls in that, then he will get 10 extra points for those dot balls.

So, his final points will be 25 points for wickets plus 10 points for Dot Balls.

This is an advantage given to the bowlers.

T20 Cricket

In T20 cricket, for every dot ball, Dream11 will award one point to that particular player.

For example, if Jasprit Bumrah bowls 12 dot balls in his spell of 4 overs, then we will get 12 points in Dream11.

ODI

The concept of Dot Balls in ODI is different from that in T20.

In T20, you will get one point for one dot ball, but in ODI, you will get one point for every 3 dot balls.

For Example, if Jasprit Bumrah bowls 24 dot balls in his spell of 10 overs, then he will not get 24 points as this is not T20, instead, we will get 8 points only.

This is because in ODI, one point will be awarded for every 3 dot balls.

Test Cricket

The concept of Dot Balls is not applicable in test cricket.

No points will be given to the bowlers who are bowling dot balls in Test cricket.

T10

The concept of Dot Balls in T10 is the same as in T20.

For every dot ball, one point will be awarded to the bowler.

So, dot balls will give an advantage to the bowlers.

In T20 and T10, for every Dot Ball, one point will be given but in ODI, for every 3 dot balls, one point will be given to you.

This rule is not applicable in Test Cricket.

Bonus for 4s

Dream11 has increased the bonus points for hitting a four now.

Earlier, for every four hits by the batter, one additional bonus point was given to him.

For example – If Virat Kohli hits a Four, then he gets 5 points in Dream11 earlier.

4 points for hitting 4 runs and one additional bonus point for hitting a boundary.

But in the new point system, the bonus points have been increased to 4 points.

This means that for every four hits by a batter, he will get 4 bonus points under the new points system which was only 1 bonus point earlier.

For Example – If Virat Kohli hits a four in a match, then under the new points system, he will get 8 points.

4 points for hitting 4 runs and an additional 4 points bonus for hitting the boundary.

This is a huge advantage given to the batters by Dream11.

Earlier, when a batter hits a four, he only gets 5 points but now this has been increased to 8 points.

This is applicable in all formats, whether T20, ODI, Test, T10.

The bonus points for hitting a Four have been increased in all formats.

Bonus for 6s

Dream11 under the new points system has increased the bonus points for hitting a six.

Earlier, when a player hit a six, he got only 2 bonus points.

For example, if Virat Kohli hits a six, he gets 8 points in Dream11. 6 points for hitting 6 runs and 2 additional bonus points for hitting a six.

But under the new points system, the bonus point for hitting a six has been increased to 6 points.

This means that whenever a player hits a six, he will get 6 bonus points under the new points system, which was only 2 points under the old points system.

For example, if Virat Kohli hits a six, he will get 12 points now under the new points system.

6 points for hitting 6 runs and an additional 6 bonus points for hitting a six which was 2 in the earlier points system.

This rule will be applicable in all formats. No format is excluded from this rule.

More Bowling Points

Dream11 has introduced some extra bowling points to the bowlers whenever they get wickets in bundles and have increased the wickets points as well.

T20

In T20 cricket, points for picking wickets have been added.

From now on, for every wicket, you will get 30 points instead of 25 points in T20 cricket.

The bonus for getting 3 wickets or 4 wickets or 5 wickets remains the same.

There is a change in T20 cricket regarding the wickets points only, which is 30 points now instead of 25 points.

ODI

In ODI, a new rule has been introduced by Dream11, which will give some extra points to the bowler.

This rule is getting bonus points for taking a 6-wicket Haul and adding the points of wickets.

This means that whenever a player picks 6 wickets in a single match, he will get some extra bonus points from Dream11.

Additionally, for every wicket, the bowler will get 30 points instead of 25 wickets.

For every 6 wicket Haul, the bowler will be given 12 bonus points.

For example, if Jasprit Bumrah takes 6 wickets in an ODI match, then he will get an extra 12 points for taking 6 wickets in a single match.

Test

Similar to ODI cricket, this rule has been introduced in test matches as well.

For every 6 wickets in a single innings, the bowler gets extra 12 points as a bonus.

For example, if Jasprit Bumrah picks 6 wickets against Australia in a single test inning, then he will be awarded with extra 12 points in Dream11.

T10

Wicket points have been introduced in T10 cricket.

The bonus rule is only applicable in ODI cricket and Test Matches.

T20 cricket and T10 cricket are excluded from it, but wicket points are awarded to T20 and T10 cricket as well.

So, in T10 cricket, the bowler will get 30 points for picking a wicket instead of 25 points.

Extra Batting Points

In the earlier points system, bonus points were given to the batters whenever they scored a half-century or century.

But under the new points system, a batter will be awarded bonus points whenever he scores 25 runs.

Earlier, the concept of giving bonus points to the batters was when they score 50 runs, but now this has been reduced to 25 runs only.

Earlier, when the batter scored 50 runs, he got bonus points, and whenever he scored an additional 50 runs, it meant a hundred, and then again, he got bonus points.

But now, whenever he scores 25 runs, he will get bonus points. After scoring an additional 25 runs, which means a half-century, he will get bonus points.

For example, if Virat Kohli was out on 27 runs, he didn’t get any additional bonus points in the old points system as 50 runs were not scored.

But under the new points system, has 25 runs have been crossed by him, he will get additional bonus points.

T20

In T20 cricket, bonus points will be awarded whenever a player crosses 25 runs.

For scoring 25 runs, he will get 4 bonus points; for scoring 50 runs, he will get 8 bonus points; for scoring 75 runs, he will get 12 bonus points; for scoring 100 runs, he will get 16 bonus points.

For example, Rohit Sharma scored 91 runs against Australia in the World Cup, he gets the additional bonus points for scoring 50 runs only.

But under the new points system, he will get additional bonus points for scoring 75 runs, which is more points than scoring 50.

This will again favour the batters in a good way.

ODI

Likewise, in ODI cricket, the same rule has been introduced.

In ODI cricket, the runs have increased.

In T20 cricket, the batter was awarded bonus points for scoring a hundred only. It doesn’t matter if he scored 125 for 150 runs; he will get bonus points for scoring 100 runs only.

But in ODI cricket, that has been increased.

In ODI cricket, if a batter scores 125 runs, he will get 20 bonus points, which is more than scoring a hundred.

If a batter scores 150 runs, then he will get 24 bonus points, which is more than getting bonus points for scoring a hundred.

So, likewise in T20, if a player scores 150 runs, he will only get 16 bonus points as he scored 100 runs, but in ODI, if he scores 150, he will get 24 bonus points.

Test

The same rule has been introduced in Test matches, which was introduced in ODI cricket.

This means in Test cricket also, you will additional bonus points up to scoring 150 runs.

T10

The rule in T10 cricket is the same as in T20.

Here, the bonus points are minimised to scoring 100 runs only.

But the amount of points has been increased in T10 cricket.

This means whenever a batter scores 25 runs in T20, he will get 4 bonus points, but if he scores the same in T10, then he will get 8 bonus points.

No extra points will be awarded for scoring 125 runs or 150 runs.
