PCB Chief Says Pakistan Women’s Team Won’t Travel to India for World Cup – Matches at Neutral Venue
The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has made it clear that the Pakistan women’s cricket team will not go to India for the upcoming Women’s ODI World Cup later this year.

Instead, Pakistan will play their matches at a neutral venue—a decision that will be made by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Why Won’t Pakistan Play in India?
This decision follows the hybrid model that was used earlier this year during the Asia Cup.
Under this model, if India or Pakistan hosts an ICC event (like the World Cup) until 2027, the other team will play their matches at a neutral location instead of travelling to the host country.
Naqvi explained:
“Just like India didn’t come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy and played in Dubai instead, Pakistan will also play at a neutral venue decided by the ICC and India. When an agreement is made, both sides must follow it.”
